Alfa Romeo - Appearance.
The Alfa 6 was originally launched in a four door three box style in 1979 a second series was launched in 1983 with minor change including square headlights to replace the dual circular originals, new bumper and also a redesigned grille. The considerably larger boot and bonnet make this car a more imposing vehicle.
Alfa Romeo - On the Road.
The Alfa 6 was equipped with a V6 model which has a capacity of 2492cc and 158Bhp. The vehicle isdriven on a total of six carburettors and a single belt driven camshaft in each of the cylinder heads. Unlike the earlier Alfetta the gearbox is located in a more conventional position however the suspension system, the dion system located at the rear and independent front corners was the same as on the earlier model. A three speed automatic version the ZF was also available as an option. A cheaper tax option was also introduced, a 1997cc 135Bhp version of the 2.5 V6 engine.
