killer car parts

Friday, November 17th, 2006

I have been reading a few articles about killer car parts. The first of which is brake fluid in which over a third of motors tested had fatal brake fluid. What this means is that as brake fluid ages it can absorb water and boil, leading to failure of the brakes without any warning and if your on the motorway then that’s a deadly combination.

So what can be done I hear you say, well checks should be implemented and it should be covered in the MOT or service. Also you should have emergency brakes fitted on cars if the main ones should fail, I don’t know how it would be implemented but nothing is impossible (kind of like lifts in buildings with their emergency brakes).

The second most deadly car part is tyres according to several resources.
The reason being is they are one of the only car parts people think don’t need maintaining. Personally i get new tyres every year or so. All it takes is a blown out tire on a fast road and before you can say the word tyre you’re off the road in a ditch.

If any one has had any other deadly car parts then let me know via comments, personally I have not had any bad experiences in a car. I had to change my car gearbox last year, but fatal it was not (only to my wallet).

Remember if any of you need car parts then why not use CarSpareFinder for the cheapest car parts around.

smart for two - a worthy car parts store addition

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

Many people say good things come in small packages and here is the proof….the smart ForTwo. These little beauties have been spotted all over the internet and screams style and coolness.

They have many style benefits, as well as parking benefits and all with super efficiency. Lets have a further look. The style has slightly changed to be larger and more refined (basically it looks that bit better). Several style differences include a new two light set instead of 3, it is a extra 19.5 center miters for added comfort inside. A new interior adds even more comfort and style.

car parts for the smart car are extreamly cheap and verisitile giving extra value for money. If you need some car parts for your smart car why not visit CarSpareFinder

The smart car is only small but don’t let it fool you. It has a petrol engine or diesel engine with a umph, with a maximum speed of 90mph and a 5sp manual gearbox.

Its greatest feature is its fuel efficiency, boasting 47mpg for petrol and 67mpg for diesel (my vote is on the diesel).

Added to this is the option of a starter generator (another great set of car parts) which turns off and off your engine when stopped, for example at a junction or traffic lights, which in turn increases fuel efficiency.

So if any one disagrees that this vehicle should not be in the car parts store then leave a comment.

ford escort salvage - vehicle salvage

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

ford escort salvageThis 1999 Ford Escort salvage (vehicle salvage) I think is a good buy. For £1199 your getting a good sized family car. It is category C (for more information see the vehicle salvage guidelines) and only has light marks, nothing major.

It is a 1999 5 door Ford Escort salvage, with a diesel engine and a manual gearbox. 5 seats adds comfort and the 1800 engine size adds umph when needed (i.e up a hill).

It is a right hand drive and has the v5 document.

So if you like this vehicle salvage or want to view more picture then head over to SalvageSpareFinder.

BMW sells 200000 V10 engines, thats alot of car parts

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

Car EngineBMW has always stood for reliability and sexiness and for the man who can (and women who can). In the beginning the first BMW M5 model engines sold around 450 to 500 a year, the BMW V10 engine in its short period of time it has been in production has now sold over 200,000 units, a impressive feat and as such a lot of car parts.

The BMW v10 engine is a beautiful work of art winning the recent International Engine of the Year awards and who can argue with its 507bhp, up to 8,250rpm revs and great flexibility. The amount of car parts in the engine itself is astonishing and the amount of technology involved is outstanding.

BMW is the only manufacturer to have ever won in six categories and now owns a total of 26 awards. Well done to the BMW v10 engine.

Vehicle salvage - a profitable business

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

Daewoo salvageI have been interviewing several people over the last month to find out what people actually think of vehicle salvage and i have come to the conclusion that most people have a misconceived idea of vehicle salvage.

The general thought is that vehicle salvage deals in junk or scrap metal, like you see in the movies in scrap yards and the image of the big metal cube or cars with car parts missing or hanging off. I am glad to tell you that it is not, and some vehicle salvage out there is the same as a second hand car but for a less price (often quarter).

Take the car in the image, this was a vehicle which was vehicle salvage, a very nice Daewoo with little damage. This is currently on SalvageSpareFinder, with minimal damage and for around a quater of its value. A profit to be made i think.

Yes some vehicle salvage is not so good and can only be used for car pars, but other vehicle salvage can be a profitable business. Vehicle Salvage comes in several categories and SalvageSpareFinder only deals in C, D and X. All these categories are 100% repairable and will in most cases make a good profit. Category C means it is repairable and profitable but the vehicle has more damage than category D. Category D means the vehicle will generate more profit because the amount spent on fixing it and buying it is less than the value before the accident, thus a greater profit can be gained.

Category X is the ultimate in vehicle salvage since it is recovered stolen vehicles or not registered as been in a accident, thus there is minimal damage, if any to the vehicle, and you can sell for more money than the previous categories.

Categories A and B are only good for salvaging vehicle parts and car parts and fixing them up is not a option since it would cost more than the pre-accident value

Right for all those confused people out there (who though vehicle salvage was a metal cube) I hope i have made it clear what vehicle salvage actually is

sedan based chrysler imperial

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

For a while now Chrysler has been deciding weather or not to build a sedan based on the Chrysler imperial concept shown at this years auto show.

However still no cigar, just rumors that Chrysler are close to a decision. Personally what is their to decide. This muscle looking car looks the bomb, it could be used in new modern mafia films and yet has enough class and style for the new business man.

I love the idea of using the Chrysler imperial concept and think it is a must, however many disagree such as AutoBlog. what do you think?

Even if its a go ahead the sedan model might not be showcased in 2008 and probably wont be on the production line until around 2010.

Tony Hawks or Nissan Qashqai

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

A video going around is this wonderful clip (i think off an advert) of a Nissan Quasqai acting as Tony Hawk on the half pipe. Yes i meant the skateboarding legend tony hawks. This Nissan Quashqai does some neat tricks on the half pipe. A good bit on computing i think, but great entertainment value.
