The most valuable Jaguar E-Type has been rebuilt using 90% original scrap parts.

The vehicle which is valued at over £5 million took nearly 7,000 hours to restore, 47 years after being destroyed in a crash in France.

The E-Type whose eventual successor was the Jaguar XK shows the importance of using scrap and spare vehicle parts when repairing or restoring a vehicle.

Peter Neumark, Chairman of the company restoring the vehicle said: Many said that it could not be done but we have proved them wrong.

The E-type and its successors are some of the most popular and admired vehicles in the Jaguar family, with one E-type a permanent fixture in the New York Museum of Modern Art.
