Mercedes Vito Vans Go Electric

As more manufacturers turn towards plugs rather than pumps Mercedes Vans have announced they plan on releasing their Vito in an electric version and putting it on the hire market.

The new van will be a direct port of the current Mercedes Vito which has been one of the top selling models in Europe. A spokesperson for Mercedes-Benz said: “We have to find solutions for enabling low-emission delivery operations as well as low-emission public transit”.

“€œWe will show how electric vans can optimally be used and rented to customers at fair terms.”

The interest in going electric is growing and growing as electric vehicles becomes the must have accessory amongst celebrities, recently retired footballer Gary Neville even shunned the chance to own a brand new Audi as part of a Manchester United sponsorship deal. Instead he chose to get behind the wheel of an zero emissions car.

Spare parts for electric vehicles are soon to be become high in demand as they become more ingrained with everyday life. CarSpareFinder already offers parts for owners of the Japanese electric vehicle, a category that is very rare in part finder services and Mercedes vans will be following.

It’s just as easy to request parts for an electric vehicle as it is to find Mercedes Vito engines, simply fill in the online request form as you would for any other Mercedes spares and you will instantly be connected to hundreds of companies both locally and nationwide who are ready to give you a quote.
